| Description | Sandford F. Randolph, right, at 1969 Cable Television Pioneers dinner. He was an owner and builder of Cablevision of Virginia and organized and was two-term president of the West Virgina Cable Association. He was active with the National Cable Television Association (NCTA) and elected vice-president and, in 1960, president. He was the only person to serve as both president and chairman of NCTA. He helped to combat early regulation of the cable industry. He was also an honorary member of the board of directors of The Cable Center. Virginia T.
