DescriptionVoices Against Violence Week, and unprecedented campaign to improve the understanding of violence in society and on television, will take place March 19-26, 1995. The campaign was announced this week (December 13, 1994) by Josh Sapan (left), president and CEO of Rainbow Programming Holdings, Inc. and chair of the Voices Against Violence Week Committee; Tony Cox (center) chairman and chief executive officer of Showtime Networks, Inc., and chairman of the National Cable Television Association (NCTA) Satellite Network Committee; and Andy Friendly (right), CNBC vice president and network executive producer. This cable programming industry initiative will feature the participation of more than 40 networks and will be anchored by CNBC.
