About the Photograph Collection

The Cable Center

The Barco Library Photograph Collection encompasses over 100,000 images that offer a vivid chronicle of the history of the cable television industry. Subjects include cable technology, programming, companies, construction and installation, people, and milestones. The collection was built by donations from cable industry trade publications, individuals, companies and associations. The prints, slides, and negatives date from the 1950s to the present, with the bulk of the photos coming from the 1960s though the 1990s.
